Giganotosaurus juveniles lived in packs and quickly grew into dangerous hunters. Giganotosaurus grew almost as large as the biggest carnivores in Earth's history: the spinosaurs. The name Giganotosaurus means "giant southern lizard" because the dinosaur was found in the south of America, in Argentina.
