To regain his divine immortality, Hercules must prove himself a true hero. So he sets off with his friend, the winged horse Pegasus, and his trainer Phil, for the city of Thebes, threatened by earthquakes, fires, floods, and monsters, urgently needs a hero's help. There he also meets the enchanting Meg, with whom he falls in love. His evil adversary Hades, God of the Underworld, along with his wicked henchmen Pain and Panic, know how to exploit this and use Meg to get rid of Hercules.
